Last week I visited Lucky one mall in Karachi and ordered from 3 different brands at the food court. I wanted to try Chinese cuisine and the two options which I had at Lucky one mall were China Grill and Ginsoy. I personally like Ginsoy, it’s different, tasty and offers value or money.
From China Grill I ordered one of their deals (2 Fantastic) which, according to them, would be sufficient for 2 people and it costed 750/- PKR. 2 Fantastic included the following:
- Manchurian Chicken
- Mangolian Chicken
- Fried Rice
- 2 Spring Rolls
- 2 Chicken Tempuras
- Two Drinks (250 ml each)
Chicken Manchurian was way too spicy than it should have been. Mangolian Chicken didn’t taste like the genuine one, rice were hard and under-cooked. I simply couldn’t take spring roll down my throat so had to spit it out and place it on the side of the tray. Chicken tempuras were okay. China Grill is definitely a NO-GO-eatery for me from now on; I tried it after ages, and I think I won’t try it again; ever!
From Ginsoy, I ordered following at 850/- PKR
- Dry Beef Chilli
- Chicken Chowmein
- Egg Fried Rice
Ginsoy never disappoints; that’s all I can say. It was a relief to taste good food at Food Court of Lucky One Mall. It was definitely a good decision to order from Ginsoy. Dry Beef Chilli was bomb, satisfied my taste-buds, chowmein was pretty decent as well – good in taste, genuine and enough serving size too. However the rice were a little hard.
My friend ordered Beef Grande from SALTO – seriously nothing was “Grand” about that beef burger with two patties and a cheese slice. It costed around 600/- and zero value for money. Patties were hard, not moist or tender at all. I wonder how they still manage to keep their business operational. Never going back to Salto again.
Lucky One Mall’s Food court needs to keep checking the quality and taste of food being served there. It’s responsibility of a mall to have some sort of policies to maintain good standard of food.
