Last Friday, attended a ‘Fundraising Gala’ by Friends of Indus Hospital US
Since I have recently moved from Karachi, Pakistan to Michigan, USA and what better way to start my journey here than by attending a fundraiser that hits so close to home!
The event was organized by Friends of Indus Hospital (a US based charity), dedicated to supporting patients suffering from non-communicable diseases, TB, mental health issues, and other serious conditions. It’s heartening to know that 70% of these patients qualify for Zakat, so every dollar counts.

At the Fundraising Gala, I met some amazing people, including Pakistani actors Naumaan Ijaz and Reema Khan. They passionately shared their bond with The Indus Hospital and urged us all to donate generously. Their words truly reminded us how important it is to give back to those who need it most. Do you know more than 6 million patients benefit each year?
To all my fellow Pakistanis here in Michigan, let’s come together and show our support for this amazing cause. If you want details on how to donate, drop a comment below!
Remember, “When you pay Zakat, you fulfill what is required of you.” Let’s make a difference together!
