DESHIRE – It’s Different And That’s The USP

Recently I had a chance to visit a newly opened restaurant at Khayaban-e-Bukhari named “DESHIRE”. It’s actually the name which made me curious. So, to keep the long story short, I visited Deshire and reviewed the menu. From the menu it appeared that that they serve 5 types of different bowls, each bowl’s color signifies a totally different range. They have 5 colored bowls (Red, Yellow, Green, Blue and Grey).

I asked the staff to guide me in placing the order as I wanted to try something different from what we usually have in cafes and restaurants. I ordered Smoky Wings, in starters, Yellow Curry Egg Noodles (455/-), Kway Teow Beef with Rice (435), Chilli Chicken (455) and Japanese Lemon Cheese Cake (320/-).

Smoky Wings were served sizzling hot. The aroma was fantastic. Wings were tangy, hot, crispy and spicy with sweet feel added to them. These wings will definitely turn out to be a healthy competition for those who are selling Wings as their USPs. Chilli Chicken was served with rice and to my taste it was good. Although there were more onions than we usually encounter in other restaurants but the highlight was its freshness and strong aroma which enhanced the tasteful experience.

After eating Smoky Wings and Chilli Chicken, I tried Yellow Curry Egg Noodles and it was so bland that it soothed my taste. There are some foods which are not high on salt, spices and over-powering tastes yet they make you their fan; this is exactly what happened to me when I tasted Yellow Curry Egg Noodles. By adding chilies and the garlic paste one can definitely bring it to as per their taste-buds but I devoured it without adding any sideline.

Kway Teow Beef with Rice Noodles were a bit high on salt that’s because beef itself has salt in it but it was nothing close to unbearable or salt-intensive dish. It was okay, to try something different. Japanese Cheesecake was light in taste, the cheesy cream melted in the mouth amazingly. The crust was a little less hard but then again the taste was worth appreciating.

One distinctive feature which every other ordered item at Deshire was, to me, the distinguishing aroma with the feel of freshly cooked food – this is something amazing. The ambiance is also nice and bright.

I recommend Deshire for the following points:

Fresh food,

Easy on pocket and

“offering something different” in the town.
