People have finally started to come out of their houses and visit malls, restaurants and offices – one thing that they should keep following is safe Distancing and the SOPs that are advised by many during the post Covid 19 scenario. After visiting Avari Towers Khi the other day, last weekend I took my family out for dinner. We wanted to try a new eatery and have beefy burgers and sandwiches. When it comes to sandwiches, we are huge fans of Slamvich as the sandwiches it offers are worth every penny. But we still wanted to experiment. So, we headed to Howdy. A few of my colleagues recommend Howdy to me before Covid19 and I just couldn’t get a chance to visit.
I liked the interior and fine detailing. Giant size art works of bulls, placement of barrels, the artwork of men behind bars and furniture; they all looked in sync.
The menu of Howdy was, to me, quite messy. It made me recall the days when we started using Microsoft Paint to print designs with literally everything in it that too with the fonts of different sizes and styles. For a reader, the concentration keeps distracting. Perhaps this is some sort of strategy but frankly, I didn’t get that.
We ordered Jalapeno Poppery (Starter), Jhon The Don Beef (sandwich), Bulldozer (beef burger) and plain fries with a small bottle of mineral water.
Jalapeno Poppery as starters set the mood to a tasty meal. The golden brown chicken fillets wrapped around cheese and jalapenos oozing with juiciness and jalapenos from inside – yummy in every bite.
Jhon The Don is rightly known as the Grandwich because the nutti grain bread’s size and thickness were grand and the beef with Mac n Cheese was stuffed to goodness. The beef had the smell that drove me towards it for the first bite and then there was no looking back. The flavor mixed with charcoal grilling and juiciest, most tender beefy patty inside with Mac N Cheese made is supremely satisfying for a beef lover. I added another place to visit anytime for sandwiches (besides Slamvich) right there and then.
Bulldozer the Grand Beef burger was nothing less than an addiction. It had three juiciest beef patties with turkey strip and cheese that satisfied my craving for smoky grilled beef with the taste that stayed with me after. The burger was satisfying and generous in serving.
The entire experience was great and I will return to Howdy again to try out the other offerings on the menu for sure. Specially, I will give the grandwiches another round as there were others too with great descriptions in the menu. So, next time I’ll experiment with other sandwiches.
