Celebration Time For Coca Cola Contour Bottle
It’s celebration time for Coca Cola. A century of sheer happiness, joy, taste and most iconic contour bottle design has completed. The branding of this particular contour coca cola bottle is phenomenal throughout past 100 years.

How First Coca Cola Contour Bottle Was Designed?
In 1915, just against a brief “design a bottle so distinguishing that it could be familiarized by touch alone and so exceptional that it could be recognized when shattered on floor” by Coca Cola, The Root Glass Company of Terre Haute, Indiana designed this amazing looking contour bottle design. Rest is history.

First Launch Of Coca Cola Contour Bottle Design
The best part of starting a great idea is nothing but the passion behind that idea. The team behind Coca Cola and The Root Glass Company was really passionate about their new contour designed bottles. In 1916 the first lot of Coca Cola contour bottles was launched (6 and a half ounce refillable one). Before that, straight bottles were in fashion, it’s Coca Cola that changed the market norms and till date holds the yardstick to quality and is marketing genius – hands-down. The bottle was patented on November 16, 1915 and since then has stimulated a 100 year’s value of signature moments in film, fine arts, design and social history.

Coca Cola Contour Bottle Is Not a Brand But A Culture
It’s a sure shot success when a brand is mixed with culture of the world.
“It’s not only regarding logotypes and packing; Coca-Cola has infused, improved, and has also redefined culture on different fronts since its beginning in 1886 — everyone from Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley and Jimi Hendrix to Frank Sinatra, Gladys Knight, Jesse Owens, Clint Eastwood, and Steve McQueen have been caught appreciating a Coca-Cola from that iconic, contoured glass bottle. Even Madam Noor Jehan, used the term ‘Coca-Cola’ for her hit song entitled ‘Zalima Coca-Cola Pila Dey’. Today, the brand’s worldwide appeal has proven Coca-Cola as a global icon for collective moments of delight and joy.”
Shares the GM of The Coca Cola Export Corporation Pakistan, Rizwan U. Khan. In 1953 Coca Cola contour bottles were introduced in Pakistani market.
Hats off to the team of the Coca Cola for coming out with ideas that last forever…
