VOUCH 365 – Get Professional Please Before Talking Tall

Buy One Get One Offers are becoming quite famous in Pakistan. In Karachi, recently, a few brands have come up with very interesting offers and booklets of buy one get one free along with discount claiming offers which feature multiple famous and renowned brands.

After all, an office goer (mostly) wants to avail discounted deals to save their hard-earned money. Although the books are sold at, between a range of, 1,800 PKR – 5,000 PKR (i.e. $18 – $50) people are still buying these books to save some amount on bulk or larger purchases / orders. Such books are greatly embraced and accepted by working class, especially housewives, working women and men etc. It is a brand’s responsibility to meet the expectations of their customers. We all have only heard in Pakistan “Customer is always right” but unfortunately not many practice to follow or regard this adage.

Recently, I won a discount book of deals featuring spectacular offers and vouchers from brands ranging from eateries to salon and fashion brands to automotive parts etc, through a Facebook competition or lucky draw.

The book actually costs a good 5,000 PKR. I got it activated and followed all the steps which were mentioned in the book to utilize it properly in the coming year i.e. 2016. I also received many calls from the representatives who were interested in knowing all kind of details pertaining to me and my family to bombard me with all the new offers and deals etc.

Yesterday, I tried to avail two of the vouchers from that book from 2 different locations (brands). Mentioned below:

Dip Shop (Gulshan-e-Iqbal), near Disco Bakery

Mr. Burger (Bahadurabad Branch), near One Potato Two Potato / Peeking.

At Dip Shop when I visited and presented the voucher, the server was unaware about the voucher and called his supervisor. He made a few calls and confirmed it. It took almost 10 minutes when he got back to me to confirm. Those 10 minutes were for sure frustrating for me. I did not use the vouch and ordered my ice-cream and paid regular bill.

When I visited Mr. Burger at Bahadurabad Branch in Karachi, I was literally disgusted to find out that the branch does not find the voucher valid. Here’s the interaction and response from the branch manager of Mr. Burger (Mr. Nauman). Watch it and imagine how frustrating it would be…

Vouch should provide a training session to all the brands and their branches which are mentioned in their vouch 365 book. People’s 5,000/- are really hard. When I got Vouch 365 book I was really excited but no more. I am now wary and definitely, DEFINITELY NOT going to avail these discounts when taking out my friends or guests because I don’t know whether the next deal I will avail, will be honored or not! Additionally, it is seriously annoying to wait 10, 15 or 20 minutes which are wasted by the management while they flounder around clueless about what Vouch 365 is and whether it is applicable to their businesses or not.

P.S. The day I uploaded this blog-post after 18 hour’s time a representative from Vouch 365, contacted me and clarified the issue of miss-printing on the voucher. Plus, the management of Mr. Burger is divided in to 2 groups. One group has agreed to the terms and conditions with vouch 365 whereas other haven’t.
